  • can be Interim to start ________________________________________ Overview We are seeking a Systems Engineer focused on Test Systems Engineering to support the full lifecycle of complex hardware products.
This role is responsible for defining, designing, and documenting test environment capabilities while ensuring robust and efficient testing from component level through full system validation. This position requires a big-picture systems thinker with hands-on understanding of development, production, user operations, and embedded testing processes. ________________________________________ What You Will Do
  • Coordinate across engineering teams to define, design, and document test environment capabilities and requirements
  • Define how hardware will be tested at all levels (component → subsystem → full system)
  • Support development and execution of test strategies across the full product lifecycle
  • Utilize models, simulations, prototypes, and test beds to validate system performance
  • Support hardware integration, manufacturing, and transition of test systems into production environments
  • Drive verification and validation (V&V) of hardware using proven methodologies and test techniques
  • Identify technical risks and assess system design impacts on program outcomes
  • Collaborate with customers, including DoD stakeholders, on testing approaches and requirements
  • Define capital investment needs related to test infrastructure and capabilities
  • Improve product affordability through: o Built-in test (BIT) capabilities o Lifecycle cost reduction strategies ________________________________________ Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience OR o Master's degree in STEM in lieu of experience
  • Experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on test, including: o Test requirements development o Test planning and documentation o Test methodologies and techniques o Embedded functional testing o Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V)
