Summary:
This position is responsible for controlling an assigned game in an efficient and profitable manner that promotes superior team member, guest and vendor relations. Assist with managing the Table Games Department; provide team members with effective guidance and assistance in regards to accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Table Game Department.
Essential Functions:
Will assist with personnel functions, such as: training, development, supervision, and delegations. Will perform these functions in a timely manner. Supervise, coach, instruct and direct dealers in proper procedures of appropriate aspects of Table Games operations including but not limited to, correction of errors, recommendations of disciplinary actions and monitoring all work processes. Conduct assigned game according to department procedures. Handle guest transactions for buyins and payoffs. Notify supervisor of any irregularities noted in guest play and of other transactions during shift. Track and document play of guests including, but not limited to monitoring wager amounts, length of play, purchase amounts and wins/losses. Assists with preparing daily payroll for accounting and any other reports according to department and company needs. Forwards all concerns regarding guests and team members to supervisor. Involve the department with casino promotional programs. Ensure team member compliance with all departmental, company, gaming, state and federal laws, policies, procedures and any other applicable rules and regulations; will also enforce all required safety codes. Must maintain confidentiality. Must be able to successfully complete any training provided by the company for this position. Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications): Must be at least 18 years or older. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively to team members and guests of the casino. Six (6) months Dealer experience is required. Thorough knowledge of all Tables Games that are offered. Must be computer literate with proficiency in windowsbased programs. Must have exceptional communication and organizational skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret: various business reports, operation and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, documents for safety rules and company or governmental regulations paperwork. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and compute discounts, fractions, interest rates, ratios and percentages. Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training upon hire and annually. Will be required to obtain and maintain a Class 12 or 13 Mixology (MAST) permit, whichever is applicable. Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and nonverbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language. Must possess a current and valid Tribal Gaming License. Must be able to understand and speak English. Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime. Ability to comprehend complex issues. Ability to be given verbal and written instruction and apply the instruction accurately. Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice nonverbal behavior. Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on telephone/radio conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts. Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties. Ability to occasionally sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Ability to frequently bend, squat, stoop, and/or reach. Frequently works near or around mechanical moving parts. Frequently exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment. Frequently exposed to tobacco smoke. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
