Job Purpose:

Responsible for operating and maintaining the tape edge machines to stitch, bind, and finish the edges of mattresses with precision and quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

\~Operate the tape edge machine to stitch and bind the edges of mattresses \~Align mattress panels and borders accurately before sewing \~Ensure all stitches are even, strong, and meet company quality standards \~Adjust machine settings (speed, tension, thread) for different mattress models \~Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs \~Inspect finished mattresses to ensure quality and consistency \~Identify and report defects or machine issues to supervisors \~Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area \~Meet daily production targets while minimizing material waste \~Work closely with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow

Experience and Skills Required:

\~Proven experience as a tape edge operator or industrial sewing machine operator (mattress industry experience preferred) \~Knowledge of machine operation, adjustment, and basic maintenance \~Skilled in adjusting machine settings to achieve desired stitch length and tension \~Ability to work with precision and maintain consistent quality under production deadlines \~Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for repetitive tasks, stand for long periods and lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs. \~Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety \~Team player with good communication skills \~Ability to follow technical instructions and supervisor guidance \~Bi-lingual in Spanish/English beneficial Click Here To View Full Job Description Active Filters Tape Edge Machine Operator Webster, MA Clear All Apply
