Tasting Room Associate

Tasting Room Associate Hark Vineyards is seeking friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable staff for our new tasting room in Earlysville. Tasting Room Associates are the primary contact point for our guests and are thus responsible for providing knowledge and service through friendly and inviting interactions culminating in an exceptional and unique experience. We are be open Thursday through Monday from 12-5 p.m. Hours will vary for special events and prime days (Friday and Saturday). We are seeking staff who can commit to at least three shifts per month, and preferably more. Prior experience in a tasting room is preferred, although not required.

$15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Requirements:

Strong customer service skills along with substantial social skills Knowledge of wine or a strong interest in learning about wine Effective and professional communication skills Weekend availability Must be able to stand for long periods Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs High school or equivalent education preferred 21 and older preferred

Duties:

Educate customers on our wine and the history of our vineyard Serve wine and execute wine tastings knowledgeably and professionally Facilitate and execute sales/transactions on POS systems. Fully perform opening and closing duties. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment Stocking, cleaning, and organizing the tasting room. Work amongst a team and individually when necessary Operate within ABC guidelines and other government regulations Answer and assist customers with any questions that arise Sign customers up for our wine club
