Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and personable Tasting Room Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the friendly face welcoming guests, guiding them through tastings, and sharing your passion for our wines. As a member of the Blufftop at Rocheport service staff you will play a critical role in delivering impeccable service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Our establishment features a wine Tasting Room & Gift Shop, A-Frame outdoor wine garden, Bistro event venue, vineyards, winery and distillery all situated on beautiful blufftops overlooking Missouri River in Rocheport. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the hospitality and wine industry while engaging with diverse guests from around the world. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide engaging wine tastings in a professional manner. Upsell additional products or experiences to maximize sales while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Team-player attitude Preparing and serving beverages and food in accordance with food safety/alcohol service guidelines. Assist in managing guest relations by providing information about the venue's and their offerings. Stay informed about new releases and special events. Provide guests with accurate information about our wines, spirits, production methods, and brand history. Provide recommendations based on guest preferences, experience level, and tasting goals. Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the POS Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room area, including proper food handling and safety practices. Follow tasting room procedures, including opening/closing duties and cash handling. Cleaning service and dining areas Stock inventory Ability to lift 40lbs Weekend and evening availability Experience Previous experience in restaurant or food service environments is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products naturally and effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude and attention to detail.
