Job Description

The End of Nowhere, Amador County's only natural winery, is hiring thirsty tasting room attendants to help take our tasting room experience to the next level. This position is ideal for those with restaurant experience who love wine are comfortable hustling… and who like the tips a good hustle can bring home. Our employees make restaurant level or better of tips. We pride ourselves on offering friendly, courteous service and engaging with our customers on a deeper level. We care about farming practices, the earth, wine, and having a good time no matter what day it is. In addition to pouring our wines, we serve food at our tasting room so the ideal candidate will be comfortable multitasking and carrying a tray. You will work directly with our winemaker and assistant winemaker to help create memorable experiences and tell the stories behind our wines. We're looking for someone who's friendly, reliable, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties:
Greet all visitors with enthusiasm Independently pour wine flights & explain the stories behind our wines, educating guests on the winery story, wines, growing regions, and brand to ensure a fun, memorable and educational customer experience. Work toward developing relationships with guests to convert into Wine Club members. Effectively suggest and sell wine, with the ability to "up-sell" Multi-task between pouring tastings and serving food during high-volume wine and musive events Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of the tasting room and tasting room outdoor spaces Wash dishes, polish glassware and resupply in tasting bar Conduct all cash functions Stock and organize wine bottles, supplies and retail items Serve multiple parties simultaneously Lift 50lbs
Candidates Should Have:
Strong wine knowledge and/or desire to learn 2-3 years of tasting room or restaurant service experience Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure A guest-focused, service-oriented mindset The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time A commitment to excellence and high standards The ability to effectively manage multiple priorities Excellent verbal communication skills Weekend availability from Thursday -
Sunday Compensation and Benefits:
