Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Tasting Room Associate and Wine Educator, where your passion for wine and exceptional customer service will shine! In this dynamic role, you will engage guests with expert wine tastings, share compelling stories about our wines and vineyard practices, and create memorable experiences that keep visitors coming back. Your enthusiasm for wine education combined with your friendly demeanor will help foster a welcoming atmosphere, promote our wines effectively, and support sales growth. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge of the wine industry while delivering outstanding service in a lively, energetic environment. Responsibilities Conduct engaging wine tastings for guests, providing detailed descriptions of each wine's flavor profile, origin, and pairing suggestions Educate visitors on wine production processes, vineyard practices, and the unique qualities of our wines to enhance their appreciation and understanding Upsell wines and related products by identifying guest preferences and recommending suitable options to maximize sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including glassware, tasting stations, and display areas Handle POS transactions accurately; process cash and card payments efficiently Support event setup and breakdown for special tastings, tours, or private functions within the tasting room or at catering events Requirements Previous experience in restaurant service or food industry roles such as serving, catering, or banquet experience is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging guests Familiarity with food safety standards and food handling procedures in a food service environment Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings Culinary or culinary-related experience is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate guests about wine in an approachable manner Prior fine dining experience or experience in the food industry enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service
Pay:

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
