Join Our Team - Part-Time Tasting Room Attendant Layton's Chance Vineyard & Winery Layton's Chance Vineyard & Winery is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Part-Time Tasting Room Attendant to join our vibrant team! In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of our winery, creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional hospitality, engaging wine tastings, and outstanding customer service. No problem — we provide full training! Job Overview As a Tasting Room Attendant, you will guide guests through wine tastings, educate visitors about our wines and offerings, assist with retail sales, and help create a warm and inviting atmosphere for every guest who visits the winery. This is a great opportunity to work in a lively hospitality setting while being part of a passionate and energetic team. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide engaging, informative wine tastings Educate visitors about our wines, flavor profiles, production methods, and pairing suggestions Serve wine and recommend products to enhance the guest experience Prepare and serve pizzas, charcuterie boards, and other food offerings Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately and efficiently Upsell wines, merchandise, and food pairings through friendly customer interaction Stock wines and retail items as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room and kitchen areas Follow food safety and sanitation standards Assist with setup and breakdown for winery events, festivals, and special occasions Support public events and help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for guests Qualifications Must be 21+ to work here Friendly, outgoing, and customer-oriented personality Strong communication and hospitality skills Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, catering, banquet, or retail experience preferred Familiarity with POS systems is a plus Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn about wine and winery operations Flexible schedule with primarily daytime hours and some evenings/weekends Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Must be available to work 4 weekend days, or two weekends a month available Willingness to work winery events and festivals as needed Compensation & Schedule Starting pay is $15/hour plus tips Hours vary based on winery needs and employee availability If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, and want to work in a beautiful vineyard setting, we'd love to meet you!
