We are seeking another dynamic, sales-oriented Tasting Room Sales Associate to join our wine family! Under the direction of our Tasting Room Manager, you will be responsible for effectively and knowledgeably promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products and providing a meaningful experience for all guests. Duties include, but not limited too: Greet all visitors, explain our wines, and interact with guests Pour glasses and flights of wine, open bottles for guests to consume on premises Conduct sales transactions using POS system Explain our wine club and promote membership to guests Upsell complementary merchandise, food, and promotional items Enforce and comply with all ABC and company policies Take initiative for industry self-development Ensures every visitor has a meaningful and positive experience

Essential Skills:

Proven success in sales, preferably in wine or hospitality industry Previous experience and working knowledge of and interest in wine Outgoing personality Commitment to excellence and high standards Professional appearance, speech, and demeanor Must be at least 21 years of age Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move 40 pounds Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Moving heavy objects Understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions Ability to also work at our satellite locations in Crozet and Charlottesville on occasion is preferable
