Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated detail-oriented and motivated Taxidermy Assistant to join our dynamic team as a contract laborer. In this role, you will support the taxidermy process from preparation to finishing, ensuring each specimen is handled with care and precision. Your energetic approach will help maintain a smooth workflow, assist with client documentation, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship. This paid contract position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a creative and fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in taxidermy artistry. This is a Part-Time Contractor Position Duties Lead person in handling of animal specimens, including skinning, cleaning, and preparing different species under limited supervision Manage daily projects to ensure timely completion Maintain organized records of each project using manual logs. Support office management tasks such as cleaning, washing, vacuuming, trash removal. Must be willing to make quick decisions and pivot to make outcomes favorable. Assist in mounting animals of all species Assist the Taxidermist with Finishing of all species Assist with billing and contacting of customers. Qualifications Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, and filing. Strong attention to detail with the mounting process of animal species. Experience in taxidermy roles is highly recommended Ability to multitask efficiently handling different tasks daily. Ability to work in a detailed fast paced environment. Basic knowledge of animal species. (Extended knowledge is a plus.) Ability to stomach different smells, textures, and visuals. Not afraid to get dirty. Ability to take constructive criticism without emotional constraints. Punctual and a reliable vehicle to and from work. Ability to work with Quickbooks online or Quickbooks Desktop.
Hours:
Part-Time Contract Labor Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch during work hours. Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values craftsmanship, precision, and exceptional service.
