  • Part-time, Full-time About us Balanced Family Academy (BFA) of Lewis Center is a premier childcare center opening soon at 7810 Graphics Way, serving families in the Lewis Center and Olentangy corridor.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a new center, help shape its culture, and grow with it from day one. The role As a BFA Classroom Teacher, you'll create a warm, engaging environment that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children ages 0-5. You'll work as part of a collaborative teaching team, implement a provided curriculum, and build meaningful relationships with the children and families in your care. What you'll do Plan and lead age-appropriate daily activities aligned with BFA's Full Circle curriculum Supervise all classroom and routine activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Build nurturing relationships with children and serve as a consistent, positive role model Maintain open, professional communication with parents and co-teachers Support classroom preparation, clean-up, and light housekeeping duties Maintain compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) childcare regulations What we're looking for High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or school setting CPR & First Aid certified (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire — we'll cover it) Warm, patient, and dependable — you genuinely love working with young children Able to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively with families Comfortable with the physical demands of the role (frequent kneeling, lifting up to 30-60 lbs depending on classroom) Compensation & benefits $17
