Teacher Assistant

Teacher's Assistant Job Description Qualifications:

Minimum age of 18 years old High school diploma or its equivalent, or with previous experience in childcare, early childhood or related programs Demonstrates interest in professional growth.

Limitations:

Must be under the supervision of a Head or Assistant Teacher. Shall defer all discipline to the Head or Assistant Teacher.

Responsibilities:

Aid the Head or Assistant Teacher throughout the day in the care, education and safety of the children. Work in accordance with the philosophy and programming technique of the center. Aid in the care of classroom supplies and general housekeeping duties. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions. Works as a team player with other staff members to achieve the goals of the center. Comply with NYSOCFS Training requirements. Able to repeatedly lift 30 pounds or more during the course of a regular work day. Perform other duties necessary to meet the Center's needs.

Pay:

$16.50 per hour
