Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for young children. This role is vital in fostering a positive, engaging, and safe environment for students across various early childhood settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of classroom management and behavior guidance. Prior experience in preschool, daycare, or childcare settings is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities aligned with curriculum standards Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior among students Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment Assist with diapering, toddler care, infant care, or other caregiving responsibilities as needed Support inclusive practices for children with diverse backgrounds and abilities Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as preschool, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus Certifications such as First Aid or CPR are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary Demonstrated ability to work well with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers This role is essential for supporting the educational growth of young learners while providing a nurturing environment that promotes safety and development.
