Teacher Assistant, Kindergarten

ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 public school near Asheville, NC is seeking an energetic, skilled, and dynamic professional for a full time instructional support position, assigned in kindergarten. This position is responsible for reinforcing and supporting classroom instruction through individual or small group work. This is a 10 month position, salaried over 12 months and includes benefits. Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree, OR, three (3) years of experience working with students, OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and engaging student learning Support the operation of a safe, positive learning environment Help implement lesson plans and facilitate literacy and math activities. Foster communication with students to enhance their learning experience. Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to promote positive interactions.
