School Year Job Summary:
This is a Birth to Three special education teaching position with the Sherburne and Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative. The teacher will work with families and students ages birth to three They will provide early intervention services during home-visits in our three member districts
  • Becker, Big Lake, and Monticello.
The teacher will collaborate with other service providers to best meet the needs of our students and families.
License:
Licensed in the State of Minnesota to teach Early Childhood Special Education (B-Age 6)
Valid Minnesota Driver's License Essential Skills Required:
Must be able to assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education Must be able to complete and implement all due process and timeline requirements in special education including Part C and Part B Experience working with infants and toddlers with special needs and their families Team oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, families, and administrators Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, families, other service providers, administrators, and staff Willingness to be flexible Excellent attendance Effective oral and written communication skills Position requires frequent travel within service area for home visits Knowledge and application of technology and assistive technology Skilled in adapting activities to the individual needs of students to facilitate learning and to assist in meeting individual learning goals Maintain confidentiality of information about students and families Experience working with diverse students and families
Salary Range:
$44,182
