Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized support in an onsite school setting in Red Mountain, CA. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with students needing 1:1 attention to enhance their educational experience from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. The role involves delivering tailored instruction and support to meet the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students, ensuring they have access to a comprehensive and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students' communication needs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create effective learning plans Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes Utilize assistive technology and resources appropriate for DHH learners
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching credentials specific to Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Proven experience working with DHH students in a school environment Strong understanding of communication methods such as sign language, lip reading, or oral communication strategies Ability to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs) and implement accommodations Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Work Schedule and Location:
Onsite position located in Red Mountain, CA Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week Contract period from August 6, 2026, to May 27, 2027 This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys through dedicated, specialized instruction. Candidates with a passion for supporting DHH learners are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this onsite teaching position. Compensation for this position ranges from $37.71 to $57.71.
