This contract opportunity offers an engaging role where specialized teaching skills can truly shine, and your expertise will empower students to reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or relevant teaching credentials Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication modalities for deaf/hard of hearing students Strong collaboration skills to work with general educators, specialists, and families Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Passion for creating inclusive, supportive, and accessible learning environments
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and academic support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing Design lessons tailored to individual student learning styles and communication needs Assess student progress, adapt curriculum, and provide recommendations or modifications as needed Partner with classroom teachers and school staff to foster success in general classroom settings Maintain regular communication with students' families regarding progress and goals Ensuring legal compliance with all IEP documents, evaluations, and state/federal mandates Take the next step in your teaching career in a role where your expertise is valued and your commitment makes a lasting difference.
