Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students across multiple sites as a skilled educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing support. Enjoy the flexibility of a contract position serving a diverse group of K-12 learners, fostering growth and communication skills in a supportive educational environment. This opportunity offers a dynamic experience as you work with five students, traveling a short distance between sites—ensuring each child gets the individualized attention they deserve.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching credential as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) instructor; open to licensed professionals from any state Experience working with K-12 students with hearing impairments Strong communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varied student needs Comfortable managing a flexible schedule across multiple nearby locations
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional support to five students across different grades (K-12) Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to design and implement effective IEPs Travel between sites within close proximity to offer services where needed Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding best practices in supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students This position offers competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and weekly pay.
