This position is exempt from overtime.
Annual stipend pay:
Master's $1,200 or Doctorate $2,000 (Prorated upon hire) Length of Work Year 7 hours per day/11 months/183 days annually (Prorated upon hire) Employment Type Full Time Benefits Generous benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision for employee and dependents. Sick leave accrued. $50,000 of employer-paid life insurance provided. This position qualifies for CalSTRS retirement. The employee contribution rate for CalSTRS is either 10.25% or 10.205% of monthly earnings depending on the membership date. Location Mesa Vista School & various sites throughout Butte County Start Date August 6, 2026 About the Employer The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) is located in Northern California and serves 13 districts and 17 charter schools in Butte County and provides services to students and educators in all 58 California Counties and employs 1400 people in Butte County and across the state. Job Summary Job Summary Credential Information This position requires one of the following credentials:- A valid, unexpired California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with authorization in Visual Impairments, or
- A valid, unexpired California "legacy credential" listed in 5 CCR § 80047.8 authorizing instruction for students with visual impairments
- A valid, unexpired English Learner authorization (such as an embedded EL Authorization, CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE) is required.
- A copy of an Intern Eligibility Letter
- An out-of-state Special Education Teaching Credential with authorization in Visual Impairments View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications
