Resident Teacher Position:

As an AUSL Resident Teacher, you will train for one full school year alongside a mentor teacher in the classroom You will take courses at DePaul University and at the end of your year you You will receive a $22,100 training scholarship that can be used for personal finances or to pay for your tuition At the end of your program, you will graduate with a masters degree in education You will then be qualified to work in a classroom as a full-time teacher and commit to working in an underserved school in Lyons, IL for four years after graduation

Program Requirements:

Bilingual proficiency Bachelor's Degree at the start of the program required GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident

Scholarship and Financial Aid:

AUSL provides resident teachers with a $22,100 resident teacher scholarship that is paid directly to you. You can choose to use this living allowance to pay for tuition costs or to cover living costs you will incur throughout your training year.
