WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a teacher leader to serve as a Testing Strategist - a classroom teacher released from instruction to lead the coordination, execution, and compliance of all assessments. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, high expectations for fidelity of implementation, and a deep belief that assessments can be used to elevate instruction and outcomes when done right. The Testing Strategist will ensure that all testing—district, state, and national—is conducted with excellence, security, and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required; preferred in Education, curriculum or related field Valid or eligible to receive Texas Teacher Certification with required endorsements for subject and level assigned, required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three year's teaching experience at the high school level preferred. Experience in testing coordination or assessment administration preferred. Special Knowledge and Skills Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills Knowledge of state and federal testing requirements and security protocols Familiarity with assessment platforms (e.g., Cambium, STAAR Testing, TELPAS, MAP, etc.) Effective communicator and collaborator across school and district teams Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines Demonstrated ability to use data to support instructional decision-making Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) Strong organizational and collaboration skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Professional Growth Serve as a transformational educator working to create a best-in-class learning environment. Provide for two-way communication with staff, students, parents, and community. Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior. Serve as a role model for students. Commit to professional growth through active participation in reading workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or other designated professional learning. Assessment & Testing Coordination Serve as campus testing lead for all state (STAAR, TELPAS, etc.), district and national assessments Develop and manage testing schedules, materials, accommodations, and staffing assignments Train campus staff on assessment protocols, test security, and administration procedures Monitor testing environments to ensure compliance with all state and district requirements Maintain accurate, organized records of test materials, student eligibility, and test results Oversee the secure storage, distribution, and return of testing materials Coordinate make-up testing and alternate testing arrangements as needed Data Analysis and Reporting Support teachers and administrators in interpreting assessment data to improve instruction Ensure timely entry, validation, and reporting of assessment results Collaborate with campus leaders to track progress toward performance goals Assist in the analysis of benchmark data to identify trends and recommend interventions Leadership and Support Collaborate with campus and district leaders to align assessment practices with academic priorities Serve as a key point of contact for testing-related communication with families and the district Lead regular campus assessment meetings and briefings Provide just-in-time support and coaching to teachers on how to prepare students for testing in meaningful ways Compliance and Accountability Ensure 100% compliance with state, district and national testing regulations Serve as the liaison for test security audits or investigations, as needed Uphold ethical standards for all assessment processes Stay current with state and district assessment updates and disseminate information to staff Culture & Climate Create, cultivate and lead a culture of excellence, support, and community for all classroom stakeholders. Facilitate effective and timely resolution of conflicts. Enhance students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic achievement. Follow all policies, practices, and procedures that create optimal learning conditions for students with special needs in alignment with IDEA. School or Community Relations Make provisions for being available to students and parents for educational-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms. Communicate with parents, families, and communities on a regular and consistent basis to ensure clear and consistent messaging to parents on both campus and classroom events and information Engage with parents, families, and community members to increase parental involvement on the campus Demonstrate awareness of school and community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs using appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement. Fiscal, Administrative, and Facilities Functions Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation to accomplish instructional goals and objectives. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required including accurate and timely reports. Participate in safety inspections and drills. Comply with district policies, state and federal laws and regulations affecting schools. Supervisory Responsibilities None
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands Typical demands of a school environment. Lifting and carrying of books, boxes, and audiovisual equipment, light (15-20 pounds), climbing, stretching, visual acuity, walking, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, sitting, kneeling, standing, and twisting, may be required to control behavior through physical restraint. Work Environment Primarily school-based with regular interaction with district staff, educators, students, families, and community members. Campus visits will be required as needed and as a part of ensuring program implementation with fidelity and monitoring of service delivery models. Attendance at evening or weekend events may be required. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Reading, supporting instruction, demonstrating computer skills appropriate for assignment, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with students, concentration (detailed work), interpretive skills (policy, procedure, dates), reasoning skills, understanding verbal instructions, analyzing, differentiating, memorizing, coordinating, compiling, and computing.
