Team Leader, Maintenance

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for an opportunity at our White Pine Operation in Dixfield Maine. We are looking for a safety oriented, energetic individual to lead our sawmill mechanical maintenance team.

Education Preferred:

Mechanical Engineering or 5 years relevant industrial maintenance experience.

Years of Experience Preferred:

2+ years of relevant supervisory experience. A strong commitment to safety and an understanding to behavior-based safety programs. Understanding & Experience in Process Improvement is an asset. Demonstrated willingness to learn and career development. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment, with a high level of detail. Organizational, prioritizing and time management skills. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in safety, quality, cost, and employee engagement to the maintenance team. Supervise maintenance team of millwrights while working closely with other supervisors and managers. Meeting established production specifications, schedules and quality standards. Analyze production and maintenance trends to identify problems in order to recommend solutions to improve performance of machine centers. Support and ensure preventive maintenance program is on track. Perform all other related tasks that will help drive both the maintenance department and overall success of the mill. Prioritize maintenance repairs and modifications.
