Job Description Summary This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager of the Lamb Weston Boardman Center facility. This position is responsible for supporting the 24/7 demands of a warehouse by directing and mentoring team members, building relationships, managing inventories, and supporting day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Job Description Lead initiatives and team members in developing safety culture towards world class through reporting of incidents and near misses, escalating safety concerns, and ensuring completion of monthly training Actively demonstrate the ability to understand and lead our Lamb Weston Vision, Mission, and Values Manage up to 25 warehouse team members (hire, onboard, train, mentor, and develop) Work, Lead and Resource team members by being available on the floor. Deliver forklift Tracker data, paperwork errors, and safety infractions, with action plans against data to respective team members. Create performance/disciplinary actions to address deficiencies and submit for review to Warehouse Manager. Plan labor for shifts with the utilization of timekeeping system, schedules, and forecasting tools for respective shifts to meet performance goals established by management. Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly facility inspections/audits. Work with maintenance department to ensure building infrastructure and equipment are in good operating condition. Work with inventory department when necessary to ensure thermometer and calibration program complies with company program. Other duties as assigned.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications Education/Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
Skills and Experience:
3 years' experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment 2 years' leadership experience preferred Experience building, leading, coaching, and mentoring teams Proficient with ASCTrac fundamentals (Inventory, Location, Date Rotation, Schedule). Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills Excellent PC skills to include Windows, Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and timekeeping systems Ability to compute various math functions as it relates to production/inventory (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume, etc.) Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating procedures, other instructions and manuals. Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Ability to work different shifts
Physical Environment/Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, excessive cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies Exposed to temperatures ranging from
  • 20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
Ability to operate work related equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
