• Only qualified Technical Designer (Women's Intimates) candidates located near Manhattan, NY to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.

• Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience

Required Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in technical design with intimates/apparel OR swimwear
• Experience participating in or owning their own fittings, able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections
• Centric training
• Proficiency in MS EXCEL, Adobe Illustrator, Flex PLM, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit
• Responsible for analysing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications
• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections
• Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price
• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager. Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers
