Monday•Friday | 7:00 AM•3:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our manufacturing team at with our premier client at a facility in Elkton, Maryland. This role will support a long-term documentation overhaul project focused on revising, standardizing, and improving all manufacturing process documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills and experience working in manufacturing or engineering environments. This is contract opportunity supporting a high-impact initiative to improve clarity, consistency, and usability of all SOPs and process documentation across the site. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with subject matter experts, manufacturing operators, and process engineers to gather detailed process information Review, revise, and update existing manufacturing documentation for accuracy and compliance Reformat documentation to align with standardized SOP templates and ensure consistent terminology across all materials Develop new process documentation to support manufacturing operations and cross-training efforts Translate complex technical and operational information into clear, user-friendly documentation for end users Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure documentation alignment Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar documentation-focused role Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical environment strongly preferred Familiarity with documentation systems, templates, and related software tools Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to interpret complex technical information and communicate it clearly Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related field Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working on the production floor while collaborating with engineers and operators. They are skilled at simplifying complex processes and ensuring documentation is clear, consistent, and easy to follow.
