Day Shift Technician Assistant role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being part of a strong team, and wants to be surrounded by people who love what they do. At AERC, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, VTS team members, and veterinarians across multiple specialties—supporting high-quality patient care and exceptional client service every step of the way. What You'll Do Safely restrain patients and support procedures as directed Be an extra set of hands, where ever the team needs you the most Prepare supplies, equipment, and treatment areas Collect and run basic diagnostics as trained Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Support accurate documentation and workflow in the EMR Communicate clearly and calmly with team members in high-stress situations Support technicians and doctors with patient care and treatments Ensure a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment Schedule Day shift (hours may vary based on hospital needs) Includes weekends and holidays Requirements Previous experience working with animals in a clinical, shelter, or veterinary setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfort working in a busy, high-acuity environment Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems Ability to stand, lift, and assist with animal handling for extended periods Preferred Veterinary Assistant or Technician Assistant experience Enrollment in or interest in a Veterinary Technology program Prior experience in emergency or specialty medicine Who This Role Is Perfect For Someone who enjoys being hands-on and part of a tight-knit medical team A veterinary assistant looking to grow skills in emergency and critical care A student or early-career professional exploring a future as a CVT Anyone who thrives in fast-paced environments and stays calm under pressure A team player who takes pride in supporting great medicine and great client care
