TITLE:
Principal Catastrophe Risk Analyst
LOCATION
Palms Management Services, LLC - 700 Universe Blvd, Juno Beach, FL 33408
DUTIES:
Works with underwriting and actuarial stakeholders across insurance and risk management operations providing insights in catastrophe risk assessment and portfolio management. Performs advanced data analyses on individual risks and overall portfolios to manage critical CAT aggregations and assist with developing technical pricing. Ensures individual account risks and MGA/program bordereaux exposure details are modeled in accordance with best practices. Assists with exposure control and pricing new/renewal business to maintain a profitable book. Manages day-to-day data collection of catastrophe information, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of information within all catastrophe data management systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Data Analytics or related field and 6 years of experience in similar roles.
Specific Requirements:
5 years of experience working with catastrophe modeling platforms (AIR, RMS); 5 years of experience validating, cleansing, and enhancing property exposure data; 5 years of experience performing advanced account and portfolio analytics, exceedance probability curves, and other risk metrics for underwriting, reinsurance, and capital management; 5 years of experience with SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools, and Excel or Power BI for automation, dashboards, and visualization; 5 years of experience supporting reinsurance structuring, stress testing, and capital adequacy modeling using catastrophe model outputs; 2 years of experience using GIS tools for hazard mapping, accumulation analyses, and Catastrophe event response support; 2 years of experience with mentoring junior analysts and managing cross-functional projects.
