Job Description

Senior Health Actuarial Associate I'm working with one a global consultancy that's continuing to grow their healthcare actuarial practice and is looking to bring on a Senior Health Actuarial Associate. This team sits squarely in the health space and works directly with payer and provider clients on real, hands‑on actuarial and analytics work. They're looking for someone with a solid health actuarial background from the payer side - think health plans, managed care organizations, or government programs. Prior actuarial consulting experience is a big plus, but it's not a must‑have if you've built strong technical skills and are interested in moving into a more client‑facing, project‑based role. In this position, you'll be involved across a mix of engagements focused on pricing, claims analysis, and product development. You'll help clients evaluate medical cost trends, support pricing and underwriting decisions, and work on developing or refining health insurance products. Experience with Medicare Advantage is especially valuable, and exposure to Value‑Based Care and/or risk adjustment will set you apart, as these areas come up frequently in client work. This is not a back‑office role. You'll be working directly with clients, contributing to presentations, walking stakeholders through analyses, and helping turn actuarial results into clear, practical recommendations. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to sharpen their consulting skill set, and is looking for long‑term growth within a well‑established, highly visible practice. What they're looking for: Health actuarial experience on the payer side Strong background in pricing and claims work Medicare Advantage experience preferred; Value‑Based Care or risk adjustment a plus Progress toward actuarial credentials Interest in client‑facing, consulting‑style work If you're a health actuary looking to broaden your exposure, work on high‑impact projects, and build a career within a Big 4 consulting environment, this is a great role to explore.
