Job Description

Director, Player Development & Data Analytics 6/12/2026 Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Head Men's Basketball Coach and the Men's Basketball Assistant General Manager, and in collaboration with the coaching staff, the Director of Player Development & Data Analytics is responsible for the integration and application of advanced performance data, scouting reports, and video analysis to enhance individual player growth and team strategy. This position plays a critical role in preparing the program for competition at the highest collegiate level by analyzing player performance, evaluating opponents, and assisting in the design of training programs. The incumbent will work independently to implement best practices in player development, analytics, and scouting in alignment with UCLA's standards of excellence and compliance with NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University policies. The incumbent may also assist the coaching staff with administrative duties that enhance the student-athlete experience. Salary & Compensation

Qualifications Minimum of three years' experience in basketball data analytics, scouting, or video analysis at the collegiate, professional, or elite amateur level. (Required) Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division I basketball rules, strategies, and operational procedures. (Required) Proficiency in sports performance analysis software, video editing systems, and statistical databases. (Required) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to extract meaningful insights from data. (Required) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. (Required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data findings to coaches and players. (Required) Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. (Required) Strong organizational skills to maintain large volumes of data, video, and scouting materials. (Required) Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with individuals from diverse backgrounds. (Required) Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and basketball-specific technologies. (Required) Requires evening, weekend, and holiday work in accordance with the basketball competition schedule.
