  • As an
  • Enterprise Operations Scientist (Residence-Based
  • ,) you'll shape the future of field-testing operations, by integrating advanced digital tools and strengthening data quality.
You'll lead operational strategy, champion digital transformation, and deliver high quality data that powers product advancement across canola, corn, soybeans, cotton, and wheat. You will collaborate across R D, Commercial, IT, and external partners to design the systems, processes, and technologies that accelerate pipeline delivery. This role blends science, operations, digital innovation, and cross-functional leadership - perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of R D, technology, and large-scale execution.
  • YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • + Build and optimize a high‑performing field testing network with industry‑leading phenotyping capabilities.
+ Drive operational planning, resource allocation, governance, risk management, and season‑readiness across crops and locations. + Bring forward new technologies, automation, and external innovation to strengthen the testing network, while leading the shift toward precision breeding systems and fully digitized field workflows. + Standardize phenotyping protocols and ensure data quality, completeness, and comparability. + Champion data stewardship practices and quality‑management standards. + Partner with analytics teams and define digital tools, dashboards, and analytics integrations that accelerate decision making. + Deliver actionable insights from historical and in‑season data to guide pipeline priorities. + Interpret, evaluate, and present scientific and operational data to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. + Translate complex analytical outputs into clear recommendations that inform product advancement and strategic decisions. + Collaborate with Market Development, Agronomy, Field Solutions, and Analytics to deliver an integrated field‑testing strategy. + Lead enterprise initiatives connected to people, technology, LRP, and portfolio execution.
  • WHO YOU ARE
  • Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
  • Required Qualifications
  • + B.
S. +7 years, M.S. +5 years, or Ph.D. +3 years in agronomy, field testing, plant breeding, or related area. + Expertise in field trial design, phenotyping, and breeding workflows. + Strong digital fluency - analytics platforms, data systems, dashboards (Power BI, PowerApps, Spotfire). + Proven cross‑functional leadership and project management capability. + Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and influence across a matrixed/global organization. + Demonstrated experience in scientific data analysis, interpretation, and adaptive communication. + Operational problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and strong prioritization skills. + Strong strategic mindset with understanding of business and financial drivers. + Adaptability, curiosity, and a growth mindset in fast‑moving environments. Posting will be available until April 7, 2026. Employees can expect to be paid an annual salary range of $ 120,560.00-$180,840.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
