Central Hudson is seeking a Leader to join our asset strategy and data analytics team. The Manager - Data Analytics leads a high-performing team responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic planning, operational performance, and investment decisions across the organization. In this leadership role, you will integrate advanced analytics, data science methods, and enterprise asset-management systems to drive measurable business outcomes in a regulated utility environment. By turning complex data into clear insights, forecasts, and recommendations, you will help optimize reliability, customer affordability, risk reduction, and long-term value for customers and shareholders. What does a Manager- Data Analytics do? Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with corporate goals Oversees data collection, preparation, and integration from internal and external sources to ensure high-quality datasets Guides the team in exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities Drives operational research and innovation initiatives—piloting emerging technologies and scaling successful proof of concept projects Develops, tests, and refines predictive and prescriptive models supporting reliability, asset health, load forecasting, customer behavior, and operational performance Conducts system and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of reliability metrics (e.g., SAIFI, CAIDI, CEMI), contingency events, and regulatory requirements Oversees the creation of dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders Partners with engineering, operations, planning, regulatory, finance, and IT teams to unify data-driven strategy, asset planning, and system enhancements Translates complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations for both technical and nontechnical audiences Ensures analytics outputs support regulatory filings, compliance requirements (e.g., NERC), and corporate initiatives Provides oversight for enterprise asset management systems, data platforms, and analytics tools, ensuring they are optimized for evolving business needs Champions continuous improvement in data quality, data governance, and analytical processes across the organization Represents the company in cross utility working groups, industry forums, and regulatory environments Provides support for storm restoration efforts What does it take to be a Manager- Data Analytics?
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or related field and 5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, asset strategy, or a related technical/strategic discipline. Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving organizational change Proficiency with analytics and programming tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and data visualization platforms Strong understanding of statistical methods or machine learning concepts Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to leadership and cross-functional partners Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative abilities Ability to manage multiple high‑priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license
Preferred:
Master's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or related field 3+ years of leadership experience in a data-focused environment Experience within the electric and gas utility industry Familiarity with asset‑management practices, grid reliability metrics, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NYS
PSC, FERC, NERC
) Experience with cloud platforms, advanced analytics tools, or distributed computing Applications will be accepted until April 23, 2026.
Pay range:
