Full Job Description Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced analytics leader to manage and develop a small team of data analysts, ensure high-quality analytical output, and partner with the Director of Evaluation & Analytics to advance organizational data strategy. This role is estimated to be 70% focused on team leadership, coaching and mentoring staff, prioritization, and quality oversight, with 30% of the time hands-on technical involvement as needed. Key Responsibilities 1. Team Leadership & Management Supervise, coach, and support up to 5 full-time data analysts Set clear priorities, manage workloads and deliverable timelines, and remove blockers Establish, document, and reinforce standards and processes for analysis, documentation, and delivery Provide regular feedback and professional development support 2. Project Oversight & Quality Control Ensure analytical work is accurate, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder needs Review outputs (dashboards, reports, code) and provide guidance Improve workflows and team efficiency 3. Strategic Partnership Collaborate with the Director of Evaluation & Analytics on priorities and strategic direction Translate organizational and departmental goals into analytics workstreams Help scope projects and ensure the team is working on the highest-value efforts Develop thought leadership around specific topics/emerging practice areas Provide high-level input on staffing decisions related to growth, performance, and accountability, ensuring that the department is well-positioned to meet its objectives and that staff are supported in their professional development 4. Technical Guidance Provide direction on tools, methods, and approaches Support problem-solving on complex analyses Step in hands-on when needed Ensure all documentation adheres to CCNY's branding and template standards. Skills/Qualifications 5+ years in analytics with 2+ years managing analysts Strong foundation in Python, R, SQL Experience reviewing others' analytical work and ensuring quality Ability to balance people management with strategic thinking A commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment Ability to translate technical evaluation jargon into clear, concise, and impactful communication

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
