JOB SUMMARY
The AI Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a formal, enterprise-wide AI automation capability in a predominantly digital environment. This role ensures that automation workflows and AI agents are developed, governed, and maintained in compliance with enterprise technology, risk, and security requirements. Reporting to a Sr. IT Project Manager, the role works closely with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Information Security, and Technology teams. The role supports operational efficiency, transformation initiatives, and enterprise scalability through technology-enabled automation and AI capabilities. This is a role combining hands-on engineering, solution delivery, and program contribution. AI Automation Program Development (D) Design, implement, and operationalize enterprise AI automation solutions using Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform. (D) Develop, deploy, and maintain AI agents and automation workflows in production environments. (D) Establish reusable automation patterns, standards, and design approaches across enterprise platforms. (D) Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems including SharePoint, Dataverse, and APIs. (D) Own the end-to-end development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. (D) Implement conversational AI capabilities including triggers, workflows, and grounded data retrieval. (D) Monitor, assess, and optimize AI solution performance and usage. Governance, Risk, and Compliance Alignment (D) Build and deploy solutions in accordance with established governance frameworks (D) Align automation solutions with enterprise security, risk, and compliance requirements. (V) Maintain documentation and technical artifacts needed to support audit and operational support. (V) Document solutions and provide training and guidance to stakeholders. Performs other duties as assigned. ________________________________________

The AI Automation Engineer communicates with employees across departments and works with external vendors and partners. The role collaborates closely with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Information Security, Information Technology, and business teams to integrate automation into enterprise processes and platforms. Maintains communication with leadership to align priorities, automation strategy, and solution delivery. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  •  Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents, automation workflows using Microsoft technologies such as Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
  •  Working knowledge of security, access, data protection, environment management, and change control requirements for enterprise automation solutions
  •  Strong knowledge of AI automation, Power Platform, and Microsoft AI technologies.
  •  Experience deploying enterprise AI agents into production environments.
  •  Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance principles in automation.
  •  Strong analytical and communication skills.
  •  Ability to work independently and lead solution delivery.
Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation and business requirements.
Ability to write documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Mathematical Skills:
BASIC skills
  • Ability to interpret data, metrics, and reports related to automation performance.
Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, design solutions, and apply technical and regulatory guidance in business scenarios.
Education and Experience:
  •  Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  •  4-8 years of experience in AI, automation, or software development.
  •  Experience in enterprise or regulated environments preferred.
