OVERVIEW

The AI Intern will work with multiple departments to identify opportunities where AI tools can improve efficiency, reduce repetitive tasks, and support better workflows. A key part of this role will be helping employees become more comfortable with AI and showing them that AI can be a helpful partner, not something to fear.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet with different departments to understand their daily tasks, challenges, and workflow needs. Identify opportunities where AI can increase productivity and reduce time spent on repetitive work. Educate staff on practical ways to use AI tools responsibly and effectively. Create simple guides, examples, prompts, and training materials for employees. Assist employees one-on-one or in small groups with AI-related questions. Help develop department-specific AI prompts, workflows, assistants, or basic AI agents. Research new AI tools and recommend practical use cases for the company. Support the creation of an internal AI resource library or prompt guide. Promote responsible AI use, including confidentiality, privacy, accuracy, and human review. Prepare a summary of findings, recommendations, and completed projects at the end of the internship. Flexible work schedule working a minimum of 20 hours a week Monday through Friday Other duties may be assigned.

ABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding AI should be positioned as a tool to support employees, not replace them, and this intern will help build confidence, comfort, and practical understanding across the organization Interest in artificial intelligence, business operations, technology, training, or process improvement. Strong communication skills and ability to explain technology in a simple, approachable way. Comfortable working with different departments and employees with varying levels of technical experience. Curious, patient, organized, and eager to learn. Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Claude, Canva AI, Zapier, or similar platforms is necessary. No advanced programming experience required, though technical skills are a plus. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); College Student or Bachelors, or six to eight months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
