Freelance Our agency client is seeking a highly skilled AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence solutions for enterprise-scale environments. This freelance opportunity is ideal for a senior-level professional who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and can architect scalable, production-ready AI platforms that support business innovation and digital transformation. The AI Architect will be responsible for defining end-to-end AI architecture, evaluating tools and frameworks, and guiding the development of intelligent systems that leverage machine learning, generative AI, knowledge graphs, and cloud-native technologies. This role requires close collaboration with business leaders, data engineers, developers, and solution teams to ensure AI initiatives are aligned with operational goals, security standards, and long-term technical roadmaps. Key Responsibilities:
Design and oversee scalable AI and machine learning architectures for enterprise applications. Lead the integration of generative AI, large language models, and retrieval-augmented generation solutions into business workflows. Develop architecture patterns for knowledge graphs, semantic data models, and intelligent search solutions. Establish best practices for model deployment, API integration, governance, monitoring, and performance optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable AI solutions. Evaluate emerging AI platforms, frameworks, and cloud services to recommend fit-for-purpose technologies. Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to engineering and delivery teams. Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as an AI Architect, Principal Architect, or similar senior-level role. Strong background in AI/ML solution design, enterprise data architecture, and cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with Python and familiarity with Java or Scala in production environments. Expertise in AWS services and cloud-native deployment patterns. Experience with knowledge graphs, ontology design, graph databases, and semantic technologies. Strong understanding of LLM integration frameworks and modern GenAI application design. Ability to communicate technical strategy clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Amazon Neptune, RDF, OWL, SHACL, Gremlin, or SPARQL. Exposure to GraphRAG, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Amazon Bedrock. Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, entity resolution, and large-scale graph performance tuning. Familiarity with graph analytics, machine learning, or graph neural network concepts.
