AI Engineering Enablement Lead
Level
Experienced
Location
Chicago
Department
Technology
Optiver's employees use AI not just to increase productivity, but to redesign the way the firm operates. As our AI Engineering Education Lead, you'll partner with the Head of AI Engineering to lead and implement AI education across our teams globally, reducing resistance to adoption and turning AI fluency into measurable business impact across Trading, Technology and Business Operations.
What you'll do:
Drive AI education for employees across the firm, spanning audiences across trading, technology, and business operations teams
Design and develop training programs in close collaboration with stakeholders across the globe; both for one-off sessions as well as curriculum-based programs
Build and support a network of local trainers across our offices to deliver training in-region, including train-the-trainer programs tailored to varied audiences
Establish and leverage strategic partnerships with content and training firms
Develop and implement metrics to track the impact of training programs
Turn learning experiences from employees into product input for our internal AI Platform
Manage stakeholders at executive levels and act as a credible voice for AI adoption across the firm
What you'll get:
You'll join a culture of collaboration and excellence, surrounded by curious thinkers and creative problem-solvers. Motivated by a passion for continuous improvement, you'll thrive in a supportive, high-performing environment alongside talented colleagues, collectively tackling some of the toughest challenges in the financial markets.
In addition, you'll receive:
The opportunity to work alongside best-in-class professionals from over 40 different countries
Highly competitive compensation package
Global profit-sharing pool and performance-based bonus structure
401(k) match up to 50%
Comprehensive health, mental, dental, vision, disability, and life coverage
25 paid vacation days alongside market holidays
Extensive office perks, including breakfast, lunch and snacks, regular social events, clubs, sporting leagues and more
Who you are:
Technically credible and hands-on: you understand AI systems and tooling deeply enough to build demos, workflows and training material yourself.
You understand how people adopt new technologies and can design learning experiences that change behaviour, not just transfer knowledge.
Pragmatic and outcome-focused: you concentrate on upskilling employees in ways that unlock revenue and productivity, not on training for its own sake.
Strong coordinator and communicator: you drive progress with and through other people, translating concepts across varying levels of AI fluency and managing senior stakeholders with confidence.
Comfortable with ambiguity: you thrive in high-stakes problem spaces with incomplete information and can move from big-picture framing to concrete detail without losing either.
Legal authorization to work int he U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening
Experience that helps:
Background as a tech evangelist, developer relations lead, or platform advocate, ideally for AI or developer tooling
Experience designing and delivering technical education programs at scale, including train-the-trainer models across multiple regions
Exposure to AI-native firms or trading, fintech or high-performance technology environments where adoption directly drives commercial outcomes
Who we are:
At Optiver, our mission is to improve the market by injecting liquidity, providing accurate pricing, increasing transparency and stabilising the market no matter the conditions. With a focus on continuous improvement, we prioritise safeguarding the health and efficiency of the markets for all participants. As one of the largest market making institutions, we are a respected partner on 100+ exchanges across the globe.
