Sr. Manager, AI Platform Engineering

Job Description At United Airlines, we are looking for a Sr. Manager, AI Platform Engineering to join our Digital Technology team in Chicago, Illinois. This role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI technologies, cloud computing, and software engineering. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and drive the adoption of AI solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of AI platforms and solutions. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to implement machine learning models. Oversee the deployment of AI applications in production environments. Ensure the scalability and reliability of AI systems. Manage a team of engineers and provide mentorship and guidance. Work with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in AI. Develop and maintain documentation for AI systems and processes. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for AI initiatives. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software engineering and AI development. Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks and tools. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
