Job Description

Our client, a leader in regulatory compliance and risk management solutions, is seeking a Lead AI Engineer for a long term contract.

  • What's the Job?
  • + Design and develop AI-powered compliance screening platforms that evaluate communications for regulatory adherence across multiple formats such as PDFs, emails, social media, and videos.
+ Lead the creation of scalable systems that analyze content using multimodal extraction techniques, including OCR, layout parsing, and vision-language models. + Translate complex regulatory frameworks into machine-interpretable logic, including rule classifiers, risk scoring models, and violation detection workflows. + Evaluate and implement large language models (LLMs) with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and hallucination mitigation strategies to ensure accurate compliance decisions. + Establish best practices for system architecture, coding, and MLOps, collaborating with legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure system integrity and reliability.
  • What's Needed?
  • + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field; PhD preferred but not required.
+ 8+ years of experience in software engineering or machine learning, with a proven track record of deploying production AI/ML systems. + Strong expertise in NLP, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and multimodal AI tools and frameworks. + Experience with Python ecosystem, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and MLOps pipelines. + Familiarity with compliance and risk management principles, explainable AI (XAI), and industry regulations is highly desirable.
