Full- or part-time, in-person position
Compensation:
$20-$25 / hour US Citizenship required. Visto 360 AI is an Ann Arbor technology company that is revolutionizing radar Artificial Intelligence. Our team brings together radar scientists, AI engineers, software developers, and hardware specialists to solve challenging real-world problems at the intersection of sensing, machine learning, embedded systems, and signal processing. Visto360 AI is seeking motivated Summer Engineering Interns to support a wide range of technical projects across AI, software, embedded systems, FPGA development, radar research, data analysis, and engineering operations. This internship may be structured as a full-time or part-time position depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, availability, and Visto360 AI's project needs. Interns will work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to hands-on projects that may include coding, software development, machine learning experimentation, research, testing, documentation, hardware integration, and technical prototyping. This role is ideal for engineering or STEM students who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-moving technical environment.
Intern responsibilities may include:
Assist with software development, scripting, testing, and debugging. Support AI/ML and computer vision projects, including data preparation, model training, evaluation, and experimentation. Help develop tools and workflows using Python, C/C++, Git, and other engineering software. Contribute to radar, signal processing, or embedded systems research and prototyping. Support FPGA, software-defined radio, or embedded hardware projects, depending on background and interest. Help test, validate, and document technical systems and engineering processes. Research emerging technologies, tools, and methods relevant to AI, radar, embedded systems, and real-time computing. Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and technical leads to complete assigned project tasks. Present findings, document progress, and communicate technical results clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM/engineering field. Python programming AI/ML or computer vision Embedded systems FPGA development Software-defined radio Radar or signal processing Data analysis or scientific computing C/C++, Linux, Git, or Docker Coursework, research, personal projects, or internship experience involving software, hardware, AI, or engineering systems. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools quickly. Ability to work on-site with a technical team in Ann Arbor. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required: PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, NumPy, SciPy, or similar tools. Object detection, image classification, semantic segmentation, or ML pipelines. FPGA platforms such as Xilinx/Zynq/Kintex or Intel/Cyclone/Stratix. HDL languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog. Vivado, Vitis, Quartus, or high-level synthesis workflows. Software-defined radios such as Ettus USRP or LimeSDR. Embedded Linux, real-time systems, CUDA, or GPU acceleration. Radar concepts, FFTs, SAR imagery, or signal-processing algorithms. Technical documentation, test plans, or lab integration. We are looking for interns who are self-starters, technically curious, and comfortable taking on varied tasks. The ideal candidate is excited to contribute wherever needed, whether that means writing code, analyzing data, testing systems, researching new methods, documenting findings, or helping engineers move projects forward.
