Job Description

Data Engineer Location:
Detroit, MI (Alternate weeks On-Site)
Hire Type:
Long-term contract
Core Responsibilities Data Pipeline Architecture:
Design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) , Azure Databricks , and Microsoft Fabric .
AI & GenAI Integration:
Design and implement intelligent workflows, embedding pre-built and custom AI capabilities into production applications using Azure OpenAI Service , Azure AI Search , and Azure AI Studio .
Modern Data Platform Management:
Build and maintain scalable data storage and processing frameworks utilizing a Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) inside Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) or Microsoft Fabric OneLake .
Data Modeling & Warehousing:
Develop optimized schemas and high-performance analytical systems inside Azure Synapse Analytics , Fabric Warehouse, or Azure SQL Database using advanced T-SQL/PySpark optimizations.
AI Agent & MLOps Orchestration:
Assist in deploying and monitoring machine learning models and AI agents. Implement MLOps best practices (monitoring data freshness, data drift, and pipeline latency) using Azure Monitor and CI/CD tools.
