Job Description:
Specifically with in our fundamental equities business our goal is to apply the latest AI technologies to solve real world problems and streamline day-to-day operations. This role partners directly with L/S equity portfolio managers, analysts, and business leadership to build innovative solutions to improve efficiency and research quality across the equities platform. We are looking for an individual to possess the core engineering rigor to build production-grade software, the intellectual curiosity to understand complex business workflows, and the emotional intelligence to partner directly with users. The ideal candidate is a rock-solid software engineer who is looking to apply their craft to AI.
Responsibilities:
Software Engineering:
Build and maintain the high-reliability backend services, APIs, and pipelines that serve as the backbone for the firm's technology and AI capabilities.
AI & Agentic Workflows :
Apply software engineering best practices to build, test, and orchestrate autonomous AI agents and custom MCP servers using our enterprise model stack Partner closely with investment professionals to understand their workflows and process and translate those into high impact AI solutions. Build GenAI solutions, leveraging both internal models and external APIs. Drive solutions from concept to production, including prototyping, evaluation, deployment, and user feedback loops. Collaborate with the AI platform engineering team to ensure solutions are scalable and well-integrated with existing systems.
Requirements:
Academic or industry experience with data analysis, NLP, or applied machine learning beyond LLMs. Cutting edge knowledge of LLMs and modern AI systems, including prompt engineering, fine?tuning, evaluation, tool?use, and retrieval?based architectures. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with a proven track record of building and maintaining production-grade software systems. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, API design, and data pipelines. Experience building internal platforms or tools with heavy end user interaction and feedback. Ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
