AI Prompt Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a highly creative and analytical AI Prompt Engineer to help design, optimize, and scale interactions with large language models and AI systems. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, creativity, and problem solving. The ideal candidate understands how to communicate effectively with AI systems, build repeatable prompt workflows, improve AI output quality, and collaborate across departments to develop practical AI-driven solutions. Please note that this position is 100% in-office located in Reno, NV. Responsibilities Design, test, and refine prompts for AI models including text, image, and workflow generation systems Build structured prompt libraries and reusable AI workflows Optimize prompts for accuracy, consistency, tone, and business outcomes Collaborate with operations, product, marketing, and engineering teams to implement AI solutions Analyze AI outputs and continuously improve performance through experimentation and iteration Develop AI-assisted automations and internal productivity tools Document prompt strategies, testing methodologies, and best practices Stay current on emerging AI technologies, models, and prompt engineering techniques Assist in training staff on effective AI usage and workflow integration Help evaluate new AI vendors, tools, and APIs Qualifications Experience working with generative AI platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or similar tools Strong written communication and critical thinking skills Ability to structure instructions clearly and logically Experience with workflow automation tools is a plus Basic understanding of APIs, scripting, or data analysis preferred Comfortable experimenting and iterating quickly in a fast-moving environment Strong organizational and documentation skills Creative problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Preferred Skills Familiarity with Python, SQL, or automation platforms Experience with AI agents, RAG systems, or workflow orchestration Understanding of prompt chaining and evaluation frameworks Experience creating AI-generated content, support systems, or operational automations Knowledge of business operations, customer support, or SaaS environments is a plus What Success Looks Like AI workflows produce reliable and measurable business value Prompt systems reduce manual work and improve efficiency Teams successfully adopt AI tools and processes AI outputs maintain high levels of quality, consistency, and usability
