Job Title:

AI Engineer Job Description Design, build, and deploy end-to-end, multi-step agentic AI systems that replace or reimagine business workflows. Architect agent pipelines using tool calling, memory, retrieval augmented generation, and orchestration patterns appropriate to workflow risk and complexity. Implement human-in-the-loop and escalation mechanisms for high-risk or low-confidence decisions. Integrate agentic systems with enterprise data sources, internal APIs, and third-party tools in compliance with security and data governance policies. Ensure strong data grounding, output quality, reliability, and graceful failure behavior in production systems. Select appropriate GenAI frameworks and manage LLM integrations, prompts, and model versions. Own delivery end-to-end from rapid prototype through pilot and production deployment. Work closely with process owners, domain experts, and governance partners to deliver trusted, usable solutions. Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy AI systems that enhance business workflows. Architect agent pipelines with appropriate orchestration patterns. Implement human-in-the-loop mechanisms for critical decisions. Integrate systems with internal and external data sources securely. Ensure high-quality, reliable, and robust production systems. Manage GenAI frameworks and LLM integrations effectively. Oversee the entire delivery process from prototype to deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective solutions. Essential Skills Undergraduate degree in STEM with over 5 years in software or a related domain. 2+ years specialized in

AI/ML, LLM

solutions, and hands-on development. Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG pipelines. Experience with LangGraph or similar tools for agent orchestration. Experience in deploying and operating LLM/agent workflows in production. Knowledge of Azure-based cloud environments and tools like Azure AI Foundry and Databricks. Strong problem-solving skills and practical business judgment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in AI and ML technologies. Strong foundation in software development and engineering. Work Environment The role requires working in a dynamic environment utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The position involves working with enterprise cloud environments, including Azure, and necessitates a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $86.00/hr.
