Job Description

Cloud & AI Engineer AXCE Inc. Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $75,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Git AWS Continuous integration DevOps automation Full Job Description AXCE is a Tampa-based technology consultancy specialising in Big Data platforms, AI Agent platforms, and AI transformation for large enterprises. We work with some of the world's largest companies and we bring modern technology to do it — the best tools, frameworks, and languages for the job, chosen on merit. At AXCE, building enterprise applications and building AI agents are the same job. You'll work across both. Tasks Design and build cloud-native applications and backend services on AWS Architect and implement AI Agent solutions for enterprise clients Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI) as your primary development multiplier Translate client requirements into architecture and working software Contribute to reference architectures, solution templates, and internal tooling Requirements Florida resident (role is hybrid — occasional in-office presence in Tampa required) Strong foundation in at least one modern programming language (TypeScript, Python, C#, Java, Go) Genuine curiosity about AWS and cloud architecture (certifications a plus, not required) Hands-on experience with at least one AI coding tool (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) Comfortable with Git, basic CI/CD, and working asynchronously Fast learner who wants to own things, not just complete tickets Recent CS or software engineering graduates are welcome. If you're a final-year student who can commit full-time with flexible hours — we've seen that work.
Nice to have:
IaC (Terraform, CDK), exposure to LLMs or agent frameworks, enterprise data concepts. Benefits 30 paid vacation days Work with the latest AI tools, frameworks, and cloud services — we always choose the right tool for the job Direct mentorship from a senior architect on how enterprise AI and cloud platforms get built Full access to AI tools and LLM API keys as standard working equipment AWS certifications covered Flexible hours, mostly remote - with a home base at our Tampa office when useful
