Data Architect (OOJ - 44139) NPAworldwide Recruitment Network update Last updated: Mar/27/2026 Job Description About the Role A large, complex organization is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to support an enterprise-wide digital transformation and data services initiative. This role blends strategic architecture leadership with hands-on technical execution, focusing on the design, integration, and optimization of scalable data platforms that enable mission-critical analytics, interoperability, and cloud modernization. The Enterprise Data Architect will define and implement frameworks that unify diverse data sources into an Integrated Data Environment (IDE), supporting real-time insights and advanced analytics across a multi-business operating model that includes customer-facing, transactional, and operational domains. Information security, governance, and compliance are foundational to all architectural decisions in this role. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, standards, and reference models aligned with business and technology objectives Design, optimize, and govern data architectures supporting EDW, ODS, CDP, and enterprise integration frameworks Lead cloud and data modernization initiatives, including hybrid cloud and platform migration strategies Establish and enforce data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata management practices Embed security-by-design principles across data platforms and support ongoing risk and compliance assessments Enable advanced analytics, real-time reporting, and AI/ML initiatives through scalable data pipelines and streaming architectures Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable, scalable data solutions Monitor, tune, and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency Evaluate emerging data technologies and architectural patterns (e.g., data mesh, data fabric, generative AI) and lead proofs of concept Mentor and guide data engineering and analytics teams, establishing best practices and a center of excellence for enterprise data architecture Perform additional duties as needed to support broader organizational initiatives
Qualifications:
Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline Experience 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level data architecture, data engineering, or closely related roles Experience supporting complex, multi-line business environments preferred Technical Skills Strong expertise in data integration, enterprise data architecture, and governance frameworks Proficiency with Microsoft-based data technologies, including SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI Experience with enterprise data warehousing, streaming platforms, and customer data platforms Hands-on experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud data architectures Certifications Relevant cloud, data, or architecture certifications are a plus Soft Skills Proven ability to lead technically while collaborating across business and IT teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, security, and data governance standards Willingness to participate in a rotational 24/7 on-call support schedule Why is This a
