Job Description

Job Title:
MBSE Cameo Engineer Job Description This position offers a challenging opportunity to apply and expand your systems engineering experience, as well as your modeling, simulation, and analytical skills. You will be responsible for digital artifact capture system, MBSE development, architecture modeling, simulation and co-simulation, data analytics, data visualization, and decision support. This client-facing role provides a collaborative environment for growth, mentoring, and the sharing of best practices. Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Cameo MBSE System Model, ensuring it serves as the authoritative source for system architecture and requirement relationships. Manage model configuration, libraries, and reusable elements within the MBSE environment to maintain integrity and consistency. Ensure model consistency, validation, and adherence to MBSE best practices. Model architectures of complex systems using digital engineering modeling notations. Support development, configuration management, and maintenance of MBSE artifacts, model interfaces, and modeling tool updates for multiple baselines through the full lifecycle of product development—architecture and design, integration, test, acceptance, and field support. Translate customer needs and future goals into a plan by crafting model-based approaches and evolving them with advanced technology solutions. Plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex system solutions. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Experience utilizing modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler. Demonstrated proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills for developing and delivering technical presentations. Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. Expert level navigation with Model Based Systems Engineering tools, processes, and languages including SysML diagram expertise (Block Definition Diagrams, Internal Block Diagrams).
System modeling and simulation:
Ability to create and simulate system models to analyze system behavior and performance. Proficient with MBSE tools and plugins such as Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, Cameo Cloud Collaborator, and Project Merge. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with Digital Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering. Experience analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preference given to candidates with an active clearance. Knowledge of systems architecture and systems design and development. Experience with multi-disciplinary modeling and simulation (engineering-level and/or operational-level). Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: MATLAB, SysML, or other programming languages. Knowledge of Confluence and JIRA. Experience creating and developing custom SysML profiles. Knowledge of automation with respect to modeling. Work Environment The position requires working three days in the office, with Tuesday and Wednesday being mandatory. The work schedule follows a 9/80 pattern, allowing for more extended periods of time off. You will work with an experienced team that provides mentoring, coaching, and the sharing of best practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockville, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
