Senior AI Engineer | Boston, MA (Hybrid) | $150-$240k with Equity We are partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed AI company that is redefining how organisations access and apply expert insight. Backed by leading investors and experiencing strong early traction, the business is now scaling its engineering function to support the next phase of growth. This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage as a senior engineer, working directly with leadership to design and build AI systems that sit at the core of the platform. The Role As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a central role in building and scaling the company's AI-driven platform. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from prototyping new AI capabilities through to delivering robust, production-grade systems. This is a broad, high-impact role combining hands-on engineering, system design, and close collaboration with product and operations teams. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and scale AI-driven systems powering a data-rich platform Develop and deploy agentic AI solutions from prototype through to production Own projects end-to-end, delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment Contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and maintainable Build clean, extensible interfaces to support rapid feature development Collaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership to translate business needs into AI solutions Support security and compliance requirements, including working alongside teams on standards such as SOC2 Contribute to engineering culture, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement Experience & Skills 5+ years' experience in Python development, ideally across web applications and distributed systems Strong background in AI / ML, including experience with NLP, LLMs, or generative AI Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks or agentic tooling (e.g. LangChain or similar) Strong understanding of scalable system design and engineering best practices Experience building and maintaining production-grade systems Familiarity with security and compliance considerations in modern platforms Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable operating in fast-moving, early-stage environments What's on Offer Opportunity to join a high-growth, VC-backed AI company at an early stage Direct impact on product direction and core system architecture Highly collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment Competitive salary and meaningful equity package Hybrid working with Boston or Nashville alignment Exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies and real-world use cases
