Job Description

Technical Builder Cantabrix Cambridge, MA Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $150,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Teamwork Software troubleshooting Software coding AI tools proficiency
TypeScript Full Job Description Technical Builder Role:
Hands-on product engineering at an AI-native startup
Location:
Cambridge / Boston preferred, open to remote
Experience:
~2-10+ years (we care more about ability than years)
Type:
Full-time About Cantabrix At Cantabrix, we help companies understand the contracts they already have. Our AI platform ingests large volumes of historical contracts, extracts complex data, and lets operators ask natural-language questions across an entire portfolio — surfacing savings opportunities, vendor overlap, renewal exposure, compliance obligations, and more. We work with enterprises, consulting firms, and private equity-backed companies to turn thousands of contracts into actionable business intelligence. The platform is already substantial and in customers' hands, developed using an AI-native workflow with tools like Claude Code and Codex. The Role We're looking for a smart, curious Technical Builder to help us keep delighting customers today while getting ahead of the problems they don't yet know they have. You'll work directly with the founding team — building features, improving workflows, debugging messy problems, and turning product ideas into reliable software. This is a hands-on role, not narrow ticket-taking. We value speed, care, collaboration, good judgment, follow-through, and learning velocity far more than a traditional engineering resume. What You'll Do Product Development Ship features across data extraction, AI-powered analysis, and product reliability. Turn ambiguous customer or founder feedback into clear plans and working software. Work in an AI-native workflow Use Claude Code, Codex, and other AI tools as part of daily engineering — and review their output carefully. Help us figure out what makes AI-assisted engineering fast, safe, and effective. Own problems end-to-end Take a fuzzy problem, ask good questions, and move it forward. Communicate clearly about what's working, what isn't, and what you'd do next. Contribute to product and architecture decisions, not just implementation. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Honest — tells the truth about what they know, what they don't know Smart and practical — can reason through problems without overcomplicating them. Hardworking — willing to push through ambiguity and finish projects. Curious — when they don't know something, they will dig in to learn new skills. Creative — has ideas, tries them, and is comfortable failing fast when they don't work. Collaborative — works well with the leadership team, customers, and teammates. Self-starter — takes a rough goal, clarifies it, breaks it down, and makes progress. We care less about whether you've worked in our exact stack than whether you can get smart about what you don't know. AI coding tools are doing more of the implementation lifting; what's actually scarce is judgment and careful review. Experience with TypeScript, modern web frameworks, or AI coding tools is a plus but not required. Why Join Cantabrix Build an AI-native enterprise software company from the earliest stage. Work directly with the leadership team to shape the product and culture. Meaningful early-stage equity and ownership. A small, capable, collaborative team focused on getting things done.
