It partners closely with stakeholders across the organization to uncover high-impact opportunities, translate complex business challenges into scalable data-driven approaches, and deploy production-ready models that strengthen strategic decision-making and operational performance. The role owns the entire data science lifecycle—from data acquisition and exploration through model development, deployment, and insight communication—combining deep technical expertise with strong business acumen while serving as a trusted advisor and champion of responsible, ethical AI practices. You will Data Acquisition & Preparation Acquire, clean, and prepare large structured and unstructured datasets for modeling and analysis Combine disparate and diverse data sources, including operational, financial, and geospatial datasets Perform exploratory data analysis and data mining to uncover meaningful patterns and insights Model Development & Advanced Analytics Design, build, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using modern statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time-series forecasting, and anomaly detection) Develop and test heuristics to support business decision making Perform geospatial analytics and spatial modeling to support territory planning, storm impact analysis, and operational insights Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model performance Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code suitable for production environments Ensure all technical artifacts and code repositories are properly documented and archived (e.g., Gitlab, Bitbucket) Generative AI & Innovation Design, develop, and integrate generative AI applications (e.g., LLM-based tools, document analysis, workflow automation) into business workflows Implement prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation strategies for large language models and foundation models Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage emerging AI technologies for business transformation You have 2+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative role or equivalent combination of graduate education and hands-on project experience Proficiency in multiple programming and querying languages, including Python and SQL Experience building and deploying machine learning models in a production environment Experience with geospatial analytics and spatial data tools (e.g., GeoPandas, ArcGIS, spatial SQL, or similar technologies) Familiarity with big data analytical techniques and cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience with Data Visualization tools. Tableau experience preferred. Comfortable working with, and combining, disparate and diverse data sources Strong intuition for analytical methodologies and solving novel technical challenges Excellence in balancing multiple projects and efficiently meet goals in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams Education Minimum of a bachelor's degree in statistics, physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or management of information systems About SERVPRO For more than 50 years, SERVPRO® has been a trusted leader in fire and water cleanup and restoration services, mold mitigation, construction, biohazard and pathogen remediation throughout the United States and Canada.
