Job Description:
Our client, a healthcare-focused technology company, is seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer to support a remote out-of-region team. This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to design and deploy advanced AI systems tailored for healthcare applications. There is no application deadline for this role.
AI/ML Software Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop and implement agent-based AI systems, including large language model (LLM) integrations and prompt engineering. Construct and maintain Python services, automation workflows, and data pipelines utilizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases. Establish evaluation frameworks and safety guardrails to ensure robust AI/agent performance before deployment. Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI/ML solutions in cloud environments, ensuring high performance and security. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to maintain high code quality, optimize system performance, and ensure secure and scalable solutions.
AI/ML Software Engineer Qualifications:
Over 7 years of experience in software and machine learning engineering, with recent hands-on involvement with AI and large language models. Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with APIs, asynchronous programming, and testing frameworks. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing autonomous AI agents, particularly tool-using or orchestrator-based systems. Practical knowledge of agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and experience with cloud-native deployment patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
